New Beginnings
New Beginnings is a program designed to prepare children to make the most of their educations as a path out of poverty.
After an initial resource distribution in July to set kids up for success during back-to-school, we routinely assess each child’s needs as the year progresses, providing resources to accommodate changing seasons as well as student growth and supply hygiene product replenishments. We also connect them with other Caring Link programmatic support, such as our Care to Join extracurricular program and Book Fairy program.
By connecting students with the essentials they need as well as collaborative resources that can improve their learning potential, New Beginnings is giving hope to kids across Madison County, showing these children that they are worthy of love, care, and bright futures.

Children participating in New Beginnings receive brand new essential items and services, including:
- Clothing
- Shoes
- Hygiene products
- School supplies
- Hair cuts
- Vision, hearing, & wellness screenings
- Access to corrective eyewear and dental care
- A box of nonperishable meal items for their families
