The Caring Link is a 100% volunteer-based organization, which means everything we do to support local kids happens because people like you choose to give their time, energy, and care.
There are plenty of ways to get involved!
- Join a Care Closet Team and help keep a school’s Care Closet stocked and organized
- Lend a hand with support at our headquarters or Huntsville Resource Center on Wednesdays
- Become a Book Fairy and read aloud to students
- Jump in when occasional volunteer opportunities arise throughout the year.
- Help at our Pop-Up Prom Shops or become a much-needed seamstress
- Volunteer on your own, with a small group, or as part of a larger team
- Join a Volunteer Committee and help plan the future of The Caring Link

Join one of The Caring Link’s volunteer committees and help us plan, organize, and bring our programs and events to life!
Our committees help with everything from fun community events and fundraisers to Prom Shops, other programs, special projects, and more.
Whether you have a specific skill to share or simply have great ideas and want to help, there’s a place for you.

Think you need special skills to volunteer with The Caring Link?
Nope!
No fancy résumé, superhero cape, or previous professional box-unpacking experience required.
If you can show up, pitch in, and care about helping local kids, you’re already highly qualified.
Some days you might be sorting socks. Other days you could be stocking a Care Closet, packing supplies, hauling boxes, helping at an event, or tackling one of the approximately 847 random things that somehow need to get done.
Whatever the task, there’s a place for you here.
You bring a willing heart, a little time, and your best “put me to work!” attitude. We’ll handle the rest.
