Caring Link 13

Kate O'Neal, President

Kate O’Neal has been a dedicated volunteer within the Madison County School System for many years. She has served on the Lynn Fanning Elementary School PTA as well as the Moores Mill Intermediate School Title 1 Parent Advisory Committee and has worked with the Lunches of Love Ministry through Mission Firefly. Prior to founding The Caring Link, Kate worked as a Technical Writer/Marketing Coordinator at Turner Universal Construction Company and as an Adjunct English Instructor at the University of Alabama – Huntsville.

Kate and her husband Sutton live in Hazel Green with their two children, Sutton and Molly, and enjoy taking part in community activities. For Kate, The Caring Link is a culmination of learning about the needs of students in our local schools and believing that any act of care can have a lasting impact on a child’s learning potential.

Faith Dunham,Vice President

Faith Dunham is no stranger to being an active member of her community. She serves as a dedicated volunteer of Moores Mill Intermediate School’s Title 1 Parent Advisory Committee in addition to volunteering with the Meridianville Middle School baseball team and serving on the Board of Directors for the St. Mark Baptist Church Educational Ministry. Faith has over 15 years of experience as a federal civil servant and currently works for the Department of Defense as a Logistics Management Specialist.

Faith and her husband Kelvin reside in Meridianville, Alabama with their two children, Kaden and Kendal. Faith enjoys reading and relaxing when the opportunity presents itself; however, she spends a lot of her weekends traveling for her children’s sporting events. For Faith, The Caring Link allows her to distinguish the needs of local students, offer positive feedback and influence, and nurture the potential in our youth.

Rachel Norton, Secretary

Rachel Norton is a Registered Nurse who formerly worked at Huntsville Home Therapies assisting patients in learning how to perform dialysis at home. She also worked at Huntsville Hospital as a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse for five years and as a Renal Care Specialist for an additional five years. Rachel is a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she serves with her husband, Cameron, as a college and young adult leader as well as a team leader in the couples ministry and assists in the Lunches of Love ministry that provides meals to low-income families at Moores Mill Intermediate School.

Rachel and Cameron live in Hazel Green and have two beautiful girls, Ava and Harper. They love volunteering at their church and spending time with family and friends. Rachel is passionate about making a difference and serving the less fortunate in her community. Rachel believes that one of the best ways to share God’s love with others is to care for them in their times of need. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” Matthew 25:35-36, 40
